The DragNet Data Block system is a great way for you to take control of both your data use and your spend on ADSL internet access.

A Data Block is simply a volume of data that you can pre-pay and apply to your ADSL plan either prior to, or after shaping being activated. Shaping is simply a reduction in the speed of data flow between DragNet and your computer, to a speed of 64/64k. Data Blocks can only be applied to DragNet ADSL plans subject to shaping rules.

For instance a customer on a 256/64 1GB plan may use their entire 1GB allocation early within a given month and have their connection slowed to 64k. They can then log in to myDragNet, or call us and pre-pay an extra Data Block to re-set their speed for the remainder of the same month.

DragNet Data Blocks remain valid for the month they are purchased in - i.e they do not roll-over as a credit into the next month of access. Any unused data is lost when the new billing month commences.

Please also keep in mind that if you are a regular user of Data Blocks, it may be more cost effective to upgrade to an ADSL plan with a higher allocation/provision of data.
